A rare pair of silver and enamel wings for the New Zealand Flying School, the red New Zealand centre, with fern leaves flanked by white enamelled wings above 'Flying School'. The school was set up in Kohimarama (Mission Bay) in October 1915 to train pilots for service in Great Britain, eventually training 110 men by the end of World War 1. Many went on to gain commissions in the Royal Flying Corps and the Royal Naval Air Service. Often these wings are Auckland-made, but these are the less common variety…

A vintage Jens Hansen c.1970 turquoise and silver designer ring, the wide silver band tapering at the top with two right angle bars terminating with turquoise cabochons in rub-over mount, stamped maker's mark to interior band. Note: Danish born Jens moved to N.Z. in 1952 where he completed his jewellery apprenticeship. He held his first solo exhibition at New Vision Gallery in 1960.
