A bone carving of Mahakhrodeshvari, Nepal and Tibet, 19th century, the multi-armed deity standing holding various attributes, an attendant and lion at her feet; together with three bone apron plaques, each carved with a dancing dakini, and smaller figures, two surmounted by Garuda; and two carved tusks, (6), the largest 18 cm, Mahakhrodeshvari is the female Nepalese deity (Great Wrathful One). The plaques formed part of an apron worn by a tantric adept during certain rituals, usually worn together with a cap, wristlets and anklets
