Description:
Shotgun, Charles Lancaster, 12 gauge, box lock shotgun, ejector, Damascus barrel side by side sporting gun with assisted opening action, nitro proofed for 1 1/8th oz maximum, the plane action engraved Charles Lancaster colonial quality. Straight hand English stock with extension rubber butt pad, the barrels and top lever marked 'one', denoting one of a pair of guns. Gold inlaid safe. The 281/4' barrels have been rebrowned at some time past with loss of definition on name and address on rib. The woodwork has been refinished and rechequered. The action and trigger guard bright. Stock at hand 151/2' double trigger. Contained in a slightly later Steven Grant and Joseph Lang Ltd double shotgun case, relined and adapted at some time past, containing a three piece wooden clearing rod, contemporary jar of lubricant, leather wallet with cleaning tackle and a pair of nickel plated snap caps A.F. The gun in working order with the right ejector requiring adjusting.
