A 19th century Mandalay lacquer Hsun-ok, the four-section covered vessel for food offerings to the monasteries, the coiled bamboo frame with multiple overlaid lacquers in black and vermillion, banded 'negoro' decoration with finely carved scrolls and auspicious Buddhist prayers. The four sections comprising: stand with bowl, inner tray and lid with spire finial, height 52 cm. Provenance: In box dated 1944 in Japan.
