A jade 'basket of fruit' carving, 20th century, the simulated canework basket with high loop handle, filled with various fruits in pierced relief including branches of peach, pomegranate, grapes and gourds, and with a cicada among the foliage, a praying mantis to one side, the pale creamish stone with some slightly darker areas and some opaque white inclusions, 17 cm long
