A good Victorian bureau plat in the French manner, circa 1840. The rectangular cross banded top with moulded border and leather inset, the shaped, cross banded frieze applied with twelve oval and rectangular porcelain plaques painted with flowers and exotic birds on a white ground within a turquoise border, on end with a long spring operated drawer, on cabriole legs with gilt bronze leaf cast mounts and ormolu sabots.
