A large Russian silver mounted glass centrepiece with cover, maker WH, Moscow 1908-1917, the glass bowl of upright half egg shape with star-cut base, covered by a circular fluted lid surmounted by an acanthus finial, the bowl encircled by a wide silver band with scroll and bead borders, and supported on four tapering columnar legs with acanthus leaf and scroll capitals and feet, raised on quatreform base, 84 standard, Polish import mark, 45.5 cm high
