A good late 19th century bureau plat, the top of serpentine form with heavy cast ormolu border, above a shaped conforming apron, drawer to one side, the red tortoiseshell boulle lined with cut brass incorporating frolicking putti in a field of foliate scrolls, ormolu medallions in high relief decorate the sides, the cabriole legs with ormolu caryatids masks, sabot feet, the piece in fine condition. 146 cm x 90 cm x 78 cm
