Magnificent George IV sterling silver & gilt bronze presentation cup of two handled campana form, the detachable domed lid with four acorn and acorn leaf finial atop a continuous panel of acanthus leaves, the handles, body and socle base all applied with acanthus leaf decoration, engraved family crest to the from which reads: Truth is My Guide, the presentation to the reverse reads 'This cup part of a service of plate of the Value of three hundred Guineas, Presented to James Walker Esq by the Proprietors of Vauxhall bridge at a special General Meeting on the 12th day of April, 1816, as a mark of the high estimation in which his services were regarded by the Company.' the square gilt bronze base engraved to all sides with a view of Vauxhall bridge, family crest and motto and a monogram, with a spare plated lid and a mahogany fitted carrying case, cup height 64 cm London 1826, maker, Joseph Angel
