Antique 18ct yellow gold and green paste brooch c.1870 Curling vine and leaf design with gold repousse work to the leaves. the gold has a textured finish on the reverse is a press fit photograph locket. Length 40 mm possibly of Australian make. Note: a similar brooch is illustrated on p.123 Australian Jewellery 19th and Early 20th Century by Schofield and Fahy
