A Georgian mahogany knife box, with hinged lid and serpentine front, the lid inlaid with a boxwood oval fan rondel, framed by crossbanding and chevron stringing, conforming crossbanding and stringing decorates the front fascia along with a silver shield shape escutcheon, the lid opens to reveal an interior fitted to accept multiple cutlery utensils. Complete with a harlequin set of cutlery comprising six ivory handled steel bladed dinner knives, six matching forks, a conforming carving knife and fork along with six rat-tail silver plated dessert spoons and a similar serving spoon
