A pair of large and impressive 19th century Japanese Satsuma earthenware vases, of rouleau shape, each painted and with raised and gilded decoration of entwining dragons, along with decoration of numerous immortals and attendants painted in enamels and gilt on a ground patterned with a trellis net of cherry blossom motifs in white raised enamel, backed by various fine brocade diaper patterns in gilt.
