A 19th century French Boulle mantel clock, traditional ornate cut brass inlay to the red tortoiseshell, baluster form, panelled sides, the glazed front door with cherub and scroll applied mounts enclosing a conforming inlaid interior with parquetry floor below the relief decorated gilded dial with enamelled plaques indicating the hours and seconds, leaf scroll ormolu mounts and feet, the pediment top surmounted with a winged trumpeting herald. Bell striking movement, the suspended pendulum with a gilded mask and Sunburst Bob. Height 76 cm
