European c. 1850 wood and ivory inlaid settle with hinged lid seat four ivory panels depict hunting scenes with various mounted huntsmen and prey in open landscapes. Two side panels inlaid with floral decoration. The frame heavily carved with mythical beasts, a castle, masks, and animal form feet. Width 165 cm. Height 147 cm. Provenance: Gerhard Friese Estate
