The 'cma Adelaide Cup', an Australian silver lidded trophy by Henry Steiner, Adelaide 1875, by Henry Steiner, Adelaide 1875, on a beaded circular base and stem issuing stiff ferns about the bowl engraved with flowerheads, scroll cartouche and 'Won By J. R. Disher 16th Sept 1876', domed cover with picket gate finial, marked twice 'H. ST/ Lion Passant/ Queen Victoria Head', 25 cm high, 300 gms (9.6oz). note: This cup was made for the Adelaide Amateur Athletics Club by H. Steiner of Adelaide and was presented to J.R. Disher on 16 September 1876 by Lady Musgrove at the Adelaide Oval. Provenance: second Life Decor Eltham Victoria 1988
