A fine Victorian inlaid mahogany and satinwood Carlton house desk, circa 1880, the superstructure with a pierced brass gallery above six drawers and three cupboard doors flanked by twin shaped cupboards and swept lidded stationary compartments above a writing slide, above one long and four short drawers, raised on square tapering legs terminating in brass castors, decorated overall with satinwood banding and scrolling arabesques, locks all by Hobbs & Co, London, 136 cm wide, 67 cm deep, 99 cm high.
