An enamelled rectangular plaque of a beauty and a tiger, Republic period, the beauty wearing blue flowing robes, holding flowers to herself, carrying a sword on her back, the tiger crouching, looking back at the beauty, titled 'Tiger and Beauty', dated 1941, two artist's seal, fitted to a stool. 24.8 cm x 38 cm. Provenance: private collection NSW, purchased during late 1950s or early 1960s in Hong Kong. note: the plaque was fitted to the stool after the initial purchase
