An important 19th century Australian colonial cedar escritoire, the ogee moulded cornice above a long drawer and a fall enclosing a huon pine fitted interior of drawers and pigeon holes with Gothic arcading, the lower section knee hole with arched panel door flanked two pedestals with graduated drawers on plinth. Circa 1860 140 cm high, 131 cm wide, 59 cm deep.
