Solingen, 18th century steel short sword, with a facetted pommel, and a leathern or skin grip wrapped in wire, shaped knuckle guard and lobate quillion, twin pierced symmetrical shell guards, the forte of blade is blued with gold embellishments, together with its distressed silver mounted papier mache scabbard inscribed ' D Drery Chtley to his Majesty Strand'. Length 95 cm
