A fine pair of Japanese Shibiyama silver and lacquer vases Meiji period each with fluted rim and tall everted necks decorated in coloured enamel above a collar with six elephant heads and oval panels decorated with a quail, a stork, birds and vases of flowers inlaid with shell, mother of pearl, ivory and tortoiseshell on kinji lacquer ground, raised on a flaring foot with bracket cut-aways and decorated with further coloured enamel, with incised mark (Haruake)
