A late Victorian satinwood and marquetry ladies' writing table by Edwards and Roberts, the rectangular top with galleried superstructure containing hinged compartments with pigeon holes above drawers with ink well and pen holders above a tooled leather insert, over a central long drawer stamped Edwards + Roberts flanked by conforming pedestals of three graduated concave drawers, raised on square tapering legs with brass castors, together with a matched single chair 121 cm wide, 62 cm deep, 97 cm high (2)
