Description:
A five piece silver tea service with pseudo Faberge marks, August Frederik Hollming, St Petersburg,1898, unidentified assay master. Melon shaped with foliate scroll spreading flange rim on four foliate scroll feet, the tea kettel with side-hinged domed lid and foliate finial, longitudinal foliate and scroll decorated handle (with insulating spacers) and a similarly decorated spout, sitting on a foliate scroll frame, all on a domed base with four feet having a burner with an open and close lever. Matching tea pot with hinged lid, covered sugar bowl with pull up domed cover and two handles, open bowl in gilt interior and a cream jug with gilt interior. Tea kettle 36 cm teapot 20 cm, sugar bowl 15 cm, open bowl 10 cm. (total weight 4360gm)
