A German silver standing cup and cover, bearing Augsburg mark, the waisted lobed body profusely engraved and embossed all over with scrolls and foliate motifs interspersed with rows of oval cartouche with classical male and female heads in profile, 'S' scroll handles, the cover similarly decorated, finial depicting a child with a serpent, the stem modelled as a bearded semi clad man supporting the cup, circular base similarly decorated to the vessel, 266gms, 21.
