An Australian cedar chiffonier, circa 1845, the upper section with beautiful foliate scroll caned back above a single shelf on ring turned supports, the lower section with a large ogee moulded frieze drawer above a pair of panelled doors with attached 3/4 columns, raised on turned bun feet. Note: the carver has signed his name 'Fletcher' on the back behind where the shelf joins;. Width 117 cm. Depth 56 cm. Height 153 cm;. Provenance: The Balmain Stripping factory
