An Australian cedar secretaire chest, circa 1835, the rectangular top above a stepped front with a generous secretaire drawer in the form of two short dummy drawers, enclosing a leather writing surface and an arrangement of drawers, pigeon holes and a central compartment with door and secret drawer, above three long graduated drawers with turned knobs flanked by reeded columns and raised on ball feet;.
