A Melanesian Ancestral Mask, carved with a small heart shaped face below a prominent and high brow decorated with incised carving flanked by a pair of large oval cupped ears with serrated lobes. The mouth with teeth carved in relief, serrated carving defining the chin line. Patinated brown and green/black finish, tie holes drilled at the sides. Note; rejoined mask edge split. Height 52 cm Width 24 cm
