Historic naval Documents and photographs - Ebrey Family with photos of World War II New Zealand naval service. John Alfred Ebrey - born Kent, UK, 1890. Enlisted in the Royal Navy in June 1910 and saw service during World War I, including Gallipoli where he was decorated for bravery. He was subsequently further decorated through the war and later settled in New Zealand. 1. Original parchment service certificate. 2. Original Stoker Rating parchment. 3. Men of the 5th Destroyer flotilla mid for Gallipoli (including info on the above). 4. Admiralty letter Depth 1918 confirming mid. 5. 1918 London Gazette confirmation. 6. Original photo of RMS Arawa. 7. Rare unused HM racoon World War I postcard. Leslie Arthur Ebrey - born England 1920. Enlisted in the New Zealand division, Royal Navy on 13 October 1939, served throughout World War II and discharged in 1950. Later served in the New Zealand army as a Warrant Officer. 1.
