Description:
A mid 19th century striking turret clock movement and dial, Wyatt, Blandford the black and gilt painted birdcage frame with acanthus cast columns, deadbeat escapement to a 1. 25 second pendulum, count wheel striking on a 2ft 4 inch high cast bell, together with the 3 foot painted Roman dial, mounted on the original oak and pine stand, each train now fitted with a micro-switch re-winding system. Height 213 cm. Width 218 cm. Depth 68 cm (max). Provenance: Removed from the stable block of a Dorset stately home, in which it was installed in 1845.
