A rare 14th century Suphan Buri Sukhothai bronze Buddha Stupa Relic. Recovered from a Stupa excavation at the Wat Phra Loi temple district in the Suphan Buri province of north central Thailand. Stupa images of this type were temple blessed and consecrated by temple Buddhist monks prior to their placement within the structural reliquary mound. The Sukhothai style buddha sits on a stepped pedestal in the 'Virasana' pose with one leg overlapping the soles of the other foot. Earth incrustation and variegated patination to the surface commensurate with its significant age. 13 cm height
