A Royal Worcester porcelain 'Limoges Enamel' decorated plate, dated 1883, the enamel decoration by Thomas John Bott, circular on a pronounced foot rim with four original holes for mounting or hanging, cobalt blue ground with a gilt rim, the centre and lower half finely decorated in white enamel with a putto within billowing drapery riding on a dolphin, signed 'T.J. Bott' lower right, inscribed by the artist underside 'To Mrs T.S. Ruddle, with T.J. Bott's compliments. Septr. 1883.', without a factory mark, 20.5 cm diameter. Condition: minor losses to gilt rim in places and minor scratches to the blue ground
