Hiroe Swen (Japanese/Australian, b. 1934). Surfing, Vase, c. 1990, slab and coil built stoneware with tapered base, asymmetrical form, white satin ground glaze, overlaid with grey and blue strokes across the body, artists signature and seals impressed on base, thought to be one of three in this series, height 20 cm width 40 cm depth 22 cm. Provenance: Purchased from Ceramic Art Gallery, (Janet Mansfield). Private Collection, Sydney. Exhibited: 'Surfing Challenge', Canberra Museum and Gallery
