Victorian sterling silver vinaigrette scent bottle by Sampson Mordan & Co, London, 1872, of fine quality heavy gauge silver, in the form of a horn with applied silver gilt pierced chain banding, the hinged vinaigrette cover set with monogram in a beaded and radiating gilt silver border and opening to reveal a silver gilt interior with hinged pierced foliate grille, the scent bottle end with screw top and set with safety chain, with diamond registered design mark to interior cover and well hallmarked overall, total weight 84gm, length 11.2 cm
