Late Victorian mahogany open bookcase, with central main compartment containing three adjustable shelves, flanked either side by compartments with twin adjustable shelves, separated by fluted uprights terminating with rosettes, the whole surmounted by a beautifully carved pediment with central heraldic coat of arms above the motto 'Sub cruce cærulea vincimus' or 'Under the blue cross we win/conquer', set within acanthus scroll work, raised above six bun feet, 174 cm x 266 cm x 43.5 cm
