Peter & Michael Angelo Nicholson, the Practical Cabinetmaker, Upholster first edition of this influential pattern book and complete Decorator, for H.Fisher and which was issued plain or for a guinea extra Son, 1826 'Elegantly Coloured'. It was the most comprehensive pattern book of Regency second edition, single tome, engraved title furniture designs. Most of the designs are page, printed title page, a complete copy based on ancient Greek or Roman forms with all pages present and all engravings and display the influence of Thomas Hope, correct as called for by the plate list whose house in Duchess Street, London, was including the 35 finely coloured plates, all open to the public from 1804. Smith also plates have a small stamp on the rear included a few Egyptian, Gothic and Chinese only, engraved title page foxed, very minor designs. on the title-page of the book Smith foxing to some of the plates, otherwise a is described as 'Upholder Extraordinary to Complete Very Good Copy of a Scarce and His Royal Highness the Prince of Wales', but desirable book little is known of his cabinetmaking activities, and no furniture by him has been identified
