A Georgian cartwheel penny with stippled inscription on obverse reading 'A token / from / John Chapman / aged 20 / 1832', the reverse reading 'When / this you see / remember me / untill (sic) i get my / liberty' above a heart set between two kissing doves, weight 22.85gm, diameter 36 mm. Provenance: mark Duff Currency world Pty Ltd Paddington Sydney, July 2020 and featured in 'Convict love Tokens' by field and Millet 1998, p.93, receipt of purchase and metal analysis report included in sale.
