Demetre Chiparus (Romanian, 1886-1947), c.1920, in bronze and ivory, figure from 'The Secret,' depicting a young lady wearing a sun hat and scarf around neck, with pleated skirt and high heels, raised on an elaborate onyx and marble base, signed Chiparus on plinth and impressed foundry mark to skirt 'Made in France,' height 37 cm (figure) and 53 cm (including stand) note: this is one figure from the figure group.
