19th century French gilt brass mantle clock, by Samuel Marti and Co, in gilded bronze and porcelain, the dial with Roman numerals bordering hand painted enamel floral work in white and blue, set above a glass viewing window featuring a naturalistic scene with bird, branches and painted backdrop, set between classical hand painted columns and cast cherubs clutching goblets and grapes, a/f (breaks to feet and missing pendulum and key), height 53 cm x width 49 cm, set above a gilt timber and plaster pedestal, height 16 cm x width 58 cm
