George III mahogany longcase clock, by Gilbert Allison, Sunderland, c. 1810, the rectangular hood with stepped and moulded top surmounted by three urn finials, and flanked by two Corinthian columns, the dial with Arabic numerals, painted with a portrait of a women in classical dress with a lion at her feet, above a panelled door with string inlay, on a plinth base, with weights, pendulum and key, height 220 cm width 56 cm depth 27 cm
