Archibald Stewart & Co, Glascow oak roll-top desk, the tambour shutter revealing an interior of pigeonholes and drawers, central kneehole drawer and further drawers to each pedestal on box bases. This belonged to George H scales. He founded George H scales Ltd being a shipping Company. The Company was formed through a group of Wairarapa sheep farmers to ship their wool from New Zealand to England - book written the Company called 'A Venture into Shipping 1912-1972' written by Mr Tc Coveney. The vendor is the daughter of the author.
