Elegant George II sterling silver coffee pot, hallmarked London, 1748, makers mark rubbed (possibly Thomas Whipham), of baluster form with elaborate bud finial, with fluted spout and scrolled wooden handle, the whole resting on a spreading, gadrooned foot, total weight 876gm, height 25 cm. Provenance: Purchased Garrard the Crown Jewellers, London 20th July 1978 then private collection, Sydney
