Good Chinese Ming Dynasty, 17th century cloisonne jardiniere, of baluster form, with deep sides, with a bronze lip, above a body decorated with a dragon and phoenix on a ground of scrolling flowers and tendrils in tones of red, blue, green, white and yellow, four character mark to base and original 1937 New Zealand Chinese Art Exhibition label, with copy of original catalogue, diameter 28 cm, height 18 cm.
