A 'bamboo and prunus' hardwood sofa, 19th/20th century, the upright back supports joined by horizontal simulated bamboo canes enclosing a frieze of prunus roundels, above leafy bamboo plants extending in pierced relief from the rectangular recessed solid seat within a mitred frame, the openwork bamboo apron joined to the slightly splayed legs with cross stretchers, 102 cm high, 135 cm wide, 59 cm deep
