A pair of George III silver trays, oval piecrust rimmed with bead and husk edge, raised on four ball and claw feet. Both engraved with period coat-of-arms: Sinister, quarterly, in the I and IV a chevron gules betw three roses, in the II and III, or, three griffin's heads erased on a chevron vert, impaling Dexter, on a chevron betw three boars' heads couped, three roundels or. One London 1776 by John Carter II (worked circa 1760-1790) 45 cm x 34.5 cm, 1854gm, the other London 1783 by John Crouch I & Thomas Hannam 1880gm
