An early 19th century European desk stand of carved mahogany, as a plateau carved in high relief with a profusion of flowers at the base of a tree trunk surmounted by an eagle displayed, the foreground carved with a scalloped pen dish flanked by glass inkwells and set before a thermometer mounted glass obelisk, a concealed drawer in the base. Width 39 cm.
