An early 19th century silver and tortoiseshell snuff box, rounded rectangular form, the lid with gilt metal (gold) inlaid shield cartouche and decorative oval framing, the silver mounts with engraved decoration, enclosing a stone fragment and written description 'Piece of one of the Anchors of the Spanish Armada'. Box length 7 cm. Provenance: The Flower Family Collection.
