An elm wood tapered cabinet, Yuanjiaogui, Qing dynasty, 19th century, the rounded protruding top, set on slightly splayed corner posts housing well figured single panel doors, within a raised double half round frame, the doors opening to reveal the interior with a shelf and two rectangular drawers with metal plates and pulls, a plain apron below the doors at the front, and with similar side aprons, the door frames fitted with two metal plates with square section lock receptacles and shaped door pulls, 182 cm high, 92 cm wide, 49.5 cm deep, Compare with a cabinet illustrated by Wang Shixiang Connoisseurship of Chinese Furniture, p. 150 D22
