A Satsuma earthenware vase by Yabu Meizan, Meiji period, the elegant tapering body with narrow gilt-edged mouth, decorated on the sides with clumps of flowering white and purple iris beside small red flowering plants, a dragon fly hovering above, the decoration highlighted in gilding, the base signed Yabu Meizan. 15 cm high.
