A carved jadeite-inset wood ruyi sceptre, 19th/20th century, the wood ruyi -head inset with a jadeite plaque carved with two carp among scrolling lingzhi stems, the shaft with an oval plaque and the end with a further ruyi -shaped plaque both carved with carp swimming among waves below a pavilion and flowering lotus, the white stone with areas of apple-green suffusions, fitted box. 50 cm long.
