Augusta of Saxe-Weimar-Eisenach (Augusta Marie Luise Katharina; 30 September 1811 ? 7 January 1890) was Queen of Prussia and the first German Empress as the wife of Wilhelm I, German Emperor.

Pickelhaube Kingdom of Saxony Officer's Ersatz infantry steel helmet, circa 1914-1915. At the beginning of the war demand outstripped supply for felt and leather covered helmets, as a result metal 'Ersatz' helmets filled the shortfall. By 1916 these Pickelhaube helmets were replaced by the common steel coal scuttle helmet in the field.
