An early 19th century Nabeshima square dish Japan, Edo period decorated with a temple scene upon a lakeside shore, in blue and white. The design is one of those originally selected by the Shogun Leharu (1737-1786) in 1773, and continued to be tendered and reserved for presentation ot the Shogun during the Edo period. A French hard paste figure of the Gardener's Companion circa 1775, Made at the Locre and Russinger factory in Rue De la Fontaine-au-Roi, in La Courtille. The mark of crossed arrows in blue was used at the factory from 1772. Laurent Russinger worked at the Hochst porelain factory as a modeller before moving to Paris.
